How DegreeProof works

What we do

DegreeProof checks what a university or programme claims against the official government record — recognition, mode approval, session window, fee source, and admission link — and points you to the official source, with the date checked, so you can confirm it yourself. The decision stays yours.

What we don't do

No rankings. No recommendations. No guarantees. No paid placements, and no public partner list. Where evidence is missing or contradictory, the page says so instead of hiding it.

The six checks

Each check points you to the official source and the date it was checked. Run them yourself → · What UGC-DEB, NAAC & NIRF mean →

Audit status

Our checks are machine-assisted and carry "External / independent audit pending" until an independent audit completes. Internal review and external audit stages are part of the roadmap and are disclosed wherever a check is shown — we never imply an audit that hasn't happened.

How DegreeProof is funded

We are open about how DegreeProof is funded. The public site does not charge you for this guidance and does not collect admissions enquiries or route you into counselling. We are not hiding a commercial model: if DegreeProof later offers an admissions-support journey, how it works and how it is funded will be disclosed openly before any enquiry, partner suggestion, or data sharing — and a commercial relationship, where one exists, never changes what the official source shows.

How DegreeProof checks official sources

DegreeProof is a private official-source checking and education-facilitation service. It is not UGC, DEB, NAAC, NIRF, a university, or an official admissions authority.

Our process is limited to checking available official public sources and presenting the relevant source link, source label, and date of checking wherever applicable.

We may check whether the relevant university, programme, mode, session, accreditation, ranking, or public notice information appears in the applicable official source. UGC-DEB recognition, NAAC accreditation, and NIRF ranking are different concepts and are not treated as substitutes for each other.

This is an official-source check only. It is not independent third-party verification, certification, approval, recognition, ranking, recommendation, or a guarantee. Official sources may change after the date of checking.

Before applying, enrolling, or paying, users must confirm directly with the relevant official authority, university, institution, application portal, or payment channel.

This is DegreeProof’s official-source check: we checked the listing against the official government record on the date shown and link the source. It is not independent third-party verification, certification, a legal opinion, or a guarantee of recognition. Always confirm with the official authority before making an admission or payment decision.
